The Bristol Trials Centre (BTC) acts as the data management centre for a number of trials running in hospitals and universities in the UK and overseas, and requires robust, secure information systems that are available to users both inside and outside of the organisation. The database management team develops a wide range of information systems to support both the BTC clinical trials and external clients.
As an Assistant Database Manager, I am responsible for supporting the Database Managers in the creation, testing, maintenance and support of information systems in the BTC.
Deployment Technician - SPHERE IRC Project, University of Bristol

Working for the SPHERE project - an EPSRC Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC), as part of a large research community researching, developing, testing and implementing a digital healthcare platform.
Responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing and managing a bespoke Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software platform and an inventory management system to assure the supply chain and stock control. Testing, preparing, and deploying the sensor system.
Collaborative working with technical team, researchers, and project management to assure product and platform readiness for deployment into the community. Liaising with a wide range of project partners including project participants, researchers, lead technicians, professional services staff and suppliers.

Located in both the Marketing and Web and Digital teams, I led the strategic development and implementation of the University’s website and range of web applications.
Managed, maintained and developed the online presence, including social networking sites, maximising opportunities to raise the University’s online profile, increase student applications, generate income, and ensured that information requirements of internal and external stakeholders were met in line with the University’s strategic objectives.
